Ms. Emma Stenton
(She/Her/Hers)
Trauma-informed counselling for grief, anxiety, depression, and major life changes.
Hi, I’m Emma — a Grief Counsellor (RTCc) and Death Doula.
I work with grief in all its forms — not only after death, but in anxiety, depression, burnout, chronic stress, caregiving, and the life transitions that quietly reshape who we are. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not quite like themselves anymore, even if they can’t name exactly why. You don’t need a clear reason to be here.
As a death doula and former care aide, I’m deeply comfortable sitting with uncertainty, loss, and emotionally complex experiences. I am trauma-informed and trained, and my counselling approach is warm, relational, and integrative. I draw from narrative, existential, solution-focused, and cognitive therapies to meet you where you are — at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
You might be navigating anticipatory grief, ambiguous loss, caregiver exhaustion, chronic pain, or the quiet grief of lost potential. You might also be living with anxiety, low mood, or ongoing stress that feels hard to carry alone. Together, we create space to explore what’s hurting, build emotional steadiness, make meaning, and reconnect with yourself.
My practice is inclusive, compassionate, and deeply respectful of your unique story. Healing doesn’t mean fixing or rushing — it means being supported as you learn how to live alongside what has changed.
